Al Sabow was first certified as a scuba diver in Canada in 1977. He enjoyed the short summer seasons diving in Ontario lakes and in the St. Lawrence River. After settling in North Carolina over 20 years ago, he discovered two things. The water is much warmer here, and the North Carolina coast has some of the best wreck diving in the world. He now enjoys diving year-round in quarries, off the coast, in Florida, and anywhere else where he can get in the water. Al is married with one son in college. When he is not diving he works as a software engineer at EMC. As a Divemaster, Al gets great satisfaction from watching new divers improve their skills and increase their enjoyment of the underwater world.
MISSING PHOTO Sandy Schiller  began diving in 2002 as a favor to a friend who wanted a buddy for the Open Water class she had signed up for.  Her friend never took the class with her but Sandy was hooked and kept diving.  She completed her certification for Divemaster in early 2004 and enjoys working with Open Water students and assisting with the PADI Specialty Classes.
MISSING PHOTO Matt Lambert  began diving in 2001 with his PADI Open Water Diver certification.  During the first pool session he caught the SCUBA bug and has been diving non-stop ever since.  Since then he has progressed through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Master Diver and most recently Divemaster certification.  Matt currently works as a Divemaster and a Discover Scuba Diving Leader with Down Under.  His favorite dives have been wreck dives off the coast of North Carolina and chasing clown fish on the Great Barrier Reef.  In his spare time he also works as an engineer for a local networking giant and day-dreams about the next time he can get wet.  Matt is currently focused on honing his dive skills through technical diving and trying to figure out a way to write a dive trip to Bonaire off on his taxes next year.
MISSING PHOTO Bill Weiser began his diving adventures in the Woodcroft pool in the summer of 1990.  After regular dives off the NC coast, the Caribbean, and the Florida springs, his serious interest resurged in 1998 with rescue classes leading to the PADI Divemaster level in 2003.  He is qualified to lead Discover Scuba and enjoys working with Open Water students.  Although he regularly dives off the NC coast, he has made several dives in the cold water kelp forests in Southern California.  He dives to enjoy the marine life and to relish in the fact that there are no phones or fax machines underwater.
